WSU Symphony Concert features faculty vocalist

Alan Held, recognized internationally as one of the leading singing actors today, appears as a soloist with the WSU Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, March 15) in Miller Concert Hall. The program will feature music by Prokofiev, Copland and Ives, and will be led by Mark Laycock.

Bass-baritone Held has appeared in major roles in the finest opera houses and with leading orchestras throughout the world. He will perform four selections from Aaron Copland's Old American Songs, together with "General William Booth Enters into Heaven," Charles Ives' rousing tribute to the founder of the Salvation Army.
