Alternative Spring Break 2018 -- follow our blogs

Alternative Spring Break will expose WSU students to complex social and cultural issues through community visits, experiential learning, direct service, group discussion, common readings and reflection activities. These trips and connected courses explore social justice issues related to the service focus of the immersive service trip.

This year we are offering two trips dedicated to service-learning with two different focuses. The first trip will head to Washington D.C., exploring hunger and homeless in an urban setting. The second trip will travel to Catalina Island, California, focusing on human impact on the environment. To check out the students experience, visit our blogs at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6318
