See Cuban artist's work in Clayton Staples Gallery

Cuban artist Omar Estrada will present his work in Clayton Staples Gallery (2nd Floor of McKnight Art Center), now to Friday, April 20. He will give a lecture from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in 210 McKnight, followed by an opening reception.

Estrada's multimedia work considers the construction of history by challenging authoritative versions promoted by competing powers. Born into the midst of Cold War tensions following the Cuban Missile Crisis, his work questions the absolutism of various political, cultural, and scientific approaches.
