Faculty are encouraged to let students know about the WSU internship program with the media and government offices, including the White House, Congress, judicial agencies, other government departments, private and public lobbying organizations and human rights groups. Students may earn 9-12 credit hours and have traditionally received stipends that cover safe and clean housing plus $1,000 for additional expenses. A few internships also provide additional funding. On-campus student fees are exempt. Students can get more information at either of this week's meetings from 12:30-1:15 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Sept. 17-18, in 417 Lindquist Hall. For more information, contact professor Mel Kahn at 978-7136 or melvin.kahn@wichita.edu.
