Reminders

* Faculty and staff are encouraged to provide the names and contact information of their high school aged children to admissions soon for a program highlighting benefits of a WSU education, scholarship information and more. Parents and students will be invited to the biennial Future Shock program at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26. Contact Debbie Neill in the Office of Admissions at 978-5675 or debbie.neill@wichita.edu and be prepared to provide your student's information.

* If you use IE8 and are having problems accessing all the options on myWSU or Self Service, select the compatibility mode button within Internet Explorer 8.0. * Free tickets for "An Evening with John Stossel," longtime ABC news correspondent and co-anchor of "20/20," are available. The lecture is at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, in the Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex. http://www.wichita.edu/thisis/wsunews/news/?nid=820

* The Civic Engagement Lecture Series at WSU will feature "An Evening with Star Parker" at 7 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 5) in the CAC Theater. Parker will present "Breaking the Cycle of Poverty: From Entitlement to Empowerment." http://www.wichita.edu/j/?245

* WSU's Veterans Upward Bound will move from 415 Jardine Hall to 415 Brennan Hall I. As a result, the office will be closed at 9 a.m. today (Monday, Oct. 5) and reopen Thursday, Oct. 8. During the move, Veterans Upward Bound can be reached at 253-5754.
