Wichita State has become the first university in Kansas to receive the Start! Fit Friendly Company Gold Award by the American Heart Association. The program recognizes employers who champion the health of their employees by creating physical activity programs within the workplace. As a result of the honor, WSU was among those listed in a Fortune Magazine ad in late September.
