The documentary "Black & Gold: Remembering the WSU Plane Crash" will premiere on KPTS at 8 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 8). On Oct. 2, 1970, two charter planes carrying WSU football players, coaches and boosters left Wichita for a game in Logan, Utah. The two planes stopped for refueling in Denver. The black plane landed safely in Utah. The gold plane crashed in the Colorado mountains. The documentary recounts the story of that fateful day and the subsequent journey of healing and recovery almost 40 years later.
