* If you use IE8 and are having problems accessing all the options on myWSU or Self Service, select the compatibility mode button within Internet Explorer 8.0. * In 2008, WSU faculty and staff received help from a United Way-funded program 637 times. Recently you should have received information on how you can support United Way during its annual campaign. The WSU United Way campus committee encourages you to consider making a gift, large or small. If you need another form, contact Delinda Royse at 978-6675 or delinda.royse@wichita.edu.
* The Fall 2009 Physics Seminar Series will feature a lecture by professor Phil Wannamaker from the University of Utah at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 14) in 128 Jabara Hall. His topic is "Natural Source Inductive Electromagnetics and its application to Geothermal Energy and Solid Earth Studies."
* No classes will meet during fall break Thursday and Friday, Oct. 15-16. However, most university offices will be open during that time.
* WSU's Braeburn Golf Course will host a benefit golf tournament for the family of Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputy Brian Etheridge at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. The cost is $75 per player or $300 per team. Carts will be provided. If you want to be part of this event, or sign-up a team to participate, contact Ben Sauceda at 640-2065. All fees are due upon arrival.
