Lawrence Elementary School hired nine College of Education co-op students for the fall semester. The co-op students are gaining practical experience working with children, an important skill that prepares them for future teaching careers. The WSU students are an integral part of Lawrence Elementary's Reading Intervention Time, a multiple grade reading program. "We could not successfully implement this program without our co-op students," said Lawrence Elementary Principal Pam Klos. "This is a program that we truly value and can see the positive impact it has made on our students."
