* Faculty and staff are invited to celebrate teaching at the annual reception of The Academy for Effective Teaching (AET) from 2-3:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 17) in 203 RSC. President Don Beggs will speak, and new members of the academy will be inducted.

* Faculty and staff are invited to the workshop "Teaching Respect for Diversity," with guest speaker Juana Bordas from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Nov. 17) in 218 Hubbard Hall.

* The University Behavioral Intervention Team uses a multidisciplinary approach to prevent individuals from harming themselves or others and to help persons in need. * Campus Recreation is recruiting volunteers to serve as Wellness Champions for their department. So far, 4 percent of the departments at WSU are participating. * Operation Holiday is gathering gently worn items for its annual warm clothes holiday project. If you have extra coats, blankets, sweaters, gloves, hats and scarves for adults and children, consider donating them by Dec. 11. The College of Health Professions classified staff is sponsoring this project on campus. Place donations in the box close to the second floor phones near the elevators in Ahlberg Hall.
