An event looking at the implications of the Stupak Amendment toward women's rights and the women's movement will be held at 7 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 16) in 315 RSC. Featured speakers are Kari Ann Rinker with Kansas NOW, Kansas District 103 Rep. Delia Garcia and WSU political science lecturer Vickie Stangl. The panel will discuss the accusation that women's rights were just a bargaining chip to pass health care reform, how big of a loss this is for women and how the movement responds. The event is sponsored by the Young Democratic Socialists.
