Robots on the silver screen and in the public sphere

Join Kansas Film Commission chair Jason Opat for a look at the portrayal of robots in the movies and how his Wichita-based company, Integrated Media Group, creates the film-like robots of the future with "Robots in the Public Sphere: Then, Today and Tomorrow" at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in 210 McKnight Art Center East. Admission is free. The Ulrich Museum galleries will be open from 5-6 p.m. This event is in conjunction with "Robots: A Cultural Icon in Contemporary Art," on view through Dec. 18.
