* The WSU African-American Faculty and Staff Association will sponsor a bake sale from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 19) in the Lindquist Hall lobby. This is a scholarship fundraiser to support WSU students.

* The Department of Geology at WSU and the University of Kansas will hold a colloquium featuring Roger Buick from the University of Washington. He will present "The early evolution of the biogeochemical nitrogen cycle" at 4 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 19) in the ITV classroom in the Media Resources Center.

* Join Kansas Film Commission chair Jason Opat for a look at the portrayal of robots in the movies in "Robots in the Public Sphere: Then, Today and Tomorrow" at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 19) in 210 McKnight Art Center East. Admission is free and the Ulrich Museum galleries will be open from 5-6 p.m.

* The WSU Graduate School has announced the sixth annual Graduate Research And Scholarly Projects (GRASP) Symposium on April 23 to spread awareness on campus about the state-of-the-art research and scholarly projects work being conducted by WSU graduate students. * The University Behavioral Intervention Team uses a multidisciplinary approach to prevent individuals from harming themselves or others and to help persons in need.
