Reminders

* Human Resources is launching Graduate Assistantship Electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAFs), which replaces the current OHR 131 and OHR 132 paper forms when hiring, changing and terminating graduate assistant employment. Details regarding implementation and training are available for your review at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?322. November dates and times are posted on myWSU, Help for Faculty/Staff tab, Training/Workshop Registration. Questions? Call Nancy Thompson at 978-6162 or Tanya Wickersham at 978-3644.

* The University Behavioral Intervention Team uses a multidisciplinary approach to prevent individuals from harming themselves or others and help persons in need. All employees and students are encouraged to attend a workshop from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the Marcus Welcome Center, Wallace Auditorium. To enroll or for additional help, contact LaMar at 978-3068. To learn more, go to http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=ubit.

* The payroll office reminds faculty and staff to verify addresses on Self Service because W-2 time is near. Because employees no longer receive pay stubs, employees may not know the current address that Human Resources has on file. Go to the faculty staff tab under Self Service and click on personal information. If it is incorrect, contact HR at 978-3065.

* If you have an event Jan. 19-29, Student Activities would like to include it in its annual Welcomefest celebration. Departments and organizations can submit program proposals to the Student Activities Council by Thursday, Dec. 3. For submission forms, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?325.

* The WSU Graduate School has announced the sixth annual Graduate Research And Scholarly Projects (GRASP) Symposium on April 23 to spread awareness on campus about the state-of-the-art research and scholarly projects work being conducted by WSU graduate students. Abstracts and application forms must be submitted by Monday, Nov. 30. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?312 or send an e-mail to mara.alagic@wichita.edu.

* The Holiday Tree Lighting reception and ceremony will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2. The reception begins at 3:30 p.m. in the RSC Fireplace Lounge, and the tree lighting is at 4 p.m. in the RSC north courtyard.
