Next Friday (Dec. 18) is the last day to see "Robots: A Cultural Icon in Contemporary Art," which includes a 13-foot Styrobot by Oregon sculptor Michael Salter, and artwork by more than a dozen artists who explore society's fear and fascination with robots as they evolve from science fiction to modern reality. Taking its place in January will be "Crossroads: The Art of Gordon Parks," an exhibition of black-and-white and color photography of this 20th-century Renaissance man as well as never-before-seen documents and artifacts from the Gordon Parks papers housed in Special Collections at WSU.
