WSU to hold 2009 fall commencement ceremony Dec. 13

Wichita State University will hold its fall ceremony of the 112th commencement in Charles Koch Arena at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13.

More than 1,100 graduates are eligible to participate in the December ceremony. All graduates will walk across the stage and be individually recognized. Doctoral candidates will be hooded at this ceremony.

During the ceremony, Bill Bischoff, dean of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, will present a posthumous Bachelor of Arts degree in honor of Jessie M. Foust, a student in the School of Social Work who was a member of this class. Foust was the victim of a shooting that was discovered on Thanksgiving Day. A moment of silence is planned in her honor.
