The winner of Wichita State University's 2010-2011 Clay Barton Scholarship in Business will be announced at a news conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, in the second-floor conference room of Devlin Hall on the WSU campus.

The recipient of the $44,000 scholarship will receive $11,000 a year for four years. The Barton scholarship is the biggest business scholarship in the state.

High school seniors from across Kansas competed for the scholarship in the Allen, Gibbs & Houlik LC Scholarship Competition in November.

The Barton scholarship was established and named in 1991 after the son of the late Rent-A-Center Chairman Emeritus W. Frank Barton, for whom WSU's business school is named.
