News from Human Resources about posting job vacancies

In November 2009, the Office of Human Resources announced the launch of PeopleAdmin. The university used HRePartners to post job vacancies for the last time on Dec. 11. Beginning Jan. 4, WSU will use PeopleAdmin. This new process will change the way you currently access certain information in the hiring process. Some of the forms and processes will now be online in the PeopleAdmin system, while others will stay with the current paper process. Following is a list of the current forms/processes used during the hiring process. Please take a look and let us know if you have questions.

In addition, HR plans to implement this process for lecturers as well. At this time, we are still fine-tuning this process and will keep you posted on the anticipated "go-live" of lecturer appointments in the PeopleAdmin system. Please continue to use the current paper process, OHR 310, to appoint lecturers.

If your department needs to fill a position after Dec. 11, contact the Office of Human Resources at 978-3065, and we will schedule a time to train your department in January. For those who are not immediately impacted, we will hold training sessions on Tuesday mornings from 8:30-10:30 a.m. January to April.

Before your area can start using this exciting new process, budget officers are asked to complete the security form. The Office of Human Resources e-mailed this to budget officers on Friday, Dec. 11. This form allows Human Resources to grant you access to the PeopleAdmin system. To successfully complete this training, the following members of each department must attend together: administrative staff responsible for processing request to fill forms, budget officer/chair, and budget review officer/dean.
