The Wichita State baseball team is ranked in two preseason polls. The Shockers are 27th in the Collegiate Baseball poll and 29th in the Ping!Baseball poll. WSU returns seven starters and 20 letterwinners from a team that finished 30-27 in 2009 and advanced to its 27th NCAA Tournament. The Shockers open the season on Feb. 23 at No. 36 Kansas.
