RSC renovation naming contest winners announced

The future renovation of the Rhatigan Student Center has moved forward with the help of Wichita State students. Two winners have been chosen for the renovation naming contest: "Rhatigan Renewal" submitted by Scott Hussey, senior in fine arts, and "The Future is Ours" submitted by Teresa Swisher, senior in education. Hussey and Swisher were awarded a Rhatigan Student Center gift package complete with a $25 University Bookstore gift certificate, $25 Shocker dollars from WSU Dining and a party in the William H. Smith Bowling and Recreation Center for six people.

"The name of the renovation project is integral in our fundraising efforts to garner more support for this investment," said Jim Herrman, director of the RSC.

The RSC and the Student Government Association asked students to provide a name for the renovation project, which will revamp and expand the current student center.
