Wichita State prepares students to compete globally

This month on "Wichita State & The World," host Provost Gary L. Miller interviews Doug Hensler, dean of the W. Frank Barton School of Business. The episode examines how Wichita State helps students compete in the global marketplace -- and become leaders in their communities, the nation and the world. This episode debuts at 8 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 4), on WSU-TV, Cox Channel 13.

The show features interviews with undergraduate students who are members of the Barton International Group (BIG), a business enterprise that offers on-site research services to corporations with overseas operations. Last summer, BIG students traveled to a Spirit facility in Malaysia; this year, BIG is working with Coleman on a project in Latin America. Assistant Dean Kate Kung-McIntyre serves as sponsor for BIG.
