WSU to host consumer protection workshop for high school students

Nearly 300 high school students from around the state will be on the WSU campus Friday, March 5, for a National Consumer Protection Week Workshop, an initiative WSU is working on with the Office of the Kansas Attorney General Steve Six. The activities will be in Rhatigan Student Center.

Registration will be in Shocker Square (across from Fast Break). Plenary sessions will be held in the CAC Theater. Breakout sessions will be in 203, 215-218 and 223 RSC. Lunch will be in the RSC ballroom.

High school students from across Kansas will arrive for a full day of activity to prepare them for managing their financial future. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the day ends at about 3 p.m. Sessions include Understanding Financial Aid, Contracts and Leases, ID Theft and Online Safety, Financial Literacy and a WSU showcase.
