Please share these scholarship opportunities with students
The James J. Rhatigan Leadership Scholarship was created by the 1995-1996 Student Government Association to provide tuition and cost of living assistance to eligible WSU juniors and seniors.
The scholarship honors Rhatigan for his many years of service as vice president of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, and for being a model of leadership to students throughout his tenure. The scholarship is meant to reward students who have demonstrated consistent leadership, service and academic merit within the university and surrounding community. Please encourage all to apply. Applications are available on http://www.wichita.edu/SGA.
Applications must be received by 6 p.m. Monday, April 5, in the Office of Financial Aid in 203 Jardine Hall.
The Ambassadorial Scholarship committee of the Wichita Downtown Rotary Club encourages sophomores to apply for a $26,000 scholarship to study abroad for a year. Rotary International sends about 600 students abroad each year through this program. Wichita and WSU have been fortunate enough to have a number of Ambassadorial Scholars chosen in the past.
The deadline is Monday, April 12, so if you know of any potential candidates, please urge them to review the scholarship eligibility requirements and download an application on Rotary's Web site at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?500.
