A reminder for supervisors of Classified employees

The Performance Management Process for classified employees requires a mid-year discussion between April 1 and May 31. Supervisors will not assign a rating during this discussion, but you will discuss the established objectives and competencies and the employee's progress toward meeting these goals.

Supervisors will need to document this discussion on page 3 of the form (Part II: Mid-Year Discussion). There is no need to turn this in to Human Resources at this time. HR will check this on the final copy that supervisors submit between Oct. 1 and Dec. 22.

After the discussion with the employee, have him/her sign on page 10 of the form (under Mid-year discussion signatures) to document that the discussion took place.
