An event consisting of four presentations in English on the life, times, inspirations and genres of Juan del Encina will be held from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, in the CAC Theater. The event will include a filmed and subtitled production of one of his short plays and a staged reading of another. Juan del Encina is said to be the founding father of Spanish theater. The event will be hosted by Terilyn Abbott, Brandon King, Ceclia Paltan, Diana Suarez and Kerry Wilks, assistant professor, modern and classical languages and literatures.
