Reminders

* Children of WSU faculty and staff who are high school sophomores or juniors with at least a 3.0 high school GPA are eligible to take a guest course and receive a guest scholarship at WSU this summer. All students must submit their application materials and guest scholarship form by Wednesday, May 19. For more information, contact debbie.neill@wichita.edu in admissions.

* Wichita State will celebrate National Employee Health and Fitness Day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will open a new 1.5 mile marked walking path on campus at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 19. Faculty and staff are invited to participate in a poker walk from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The walk begins north of the Heskett Center under the canopy. * May is Education Month at Davis-Moore Auto Dealers in Wichita. The school with the most votes from people who test drive autos in May will be awarded $5,000 for current fund scholarships. So if you take a test drive, remember to vote for WSU. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq-XU8Ro_xQ

* The University Bookstore textbook buyback continues through Wednesday, May 19. Encourage students to come in early to get up to 50 percent of the new book price back in cash. If you have questions, call 978-3490 or go online to http://www.wsubooks.com.

* The WSU baseball team will host Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 18) at Eck Stadium. Call 978-3267 for tickets.

* Please note that an error was made in the 2009-10 Academic Calendar that indicates the Memorial Day holiday is May 24. The correct date is May 31. The beginning date for presession classes is actually Monday, May 24.
