* Wichita State will celebrate a new 1.5 mile marked walking path on campus at 11:30 a.m. today (Thursday, May 20). Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, faculty and staff are invited to participate in a poker walk from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The walk begins north of the Heskett Center under the canopy. If you have it, please bring your postcard invitation.

* The WSU baseball team will host Dallas Baptist at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, May 20) at Eck Stadium. Call 978-3267 for tickets.

* First lady Shirley Beggs is the honorary chairperson for the Victory in the Valley walk/run Saturday, June 5, at Exploration Place. Join Shirley's Striders 4 Life team or form a team of your own. Download the registration form at http://www.victoryinthevalley.org and mail it along with your check payable to Victory in the Valley Inc., a nonprofit, cancer support organization.
