Summer institute for teachers of writing

Educators have an opportunity to improve their teaching of writing at a summer institute scheduled June 7-July 2 at Wichita State. The institute is conducted by the South Central Kansas Writing Project, a professional development network serving teachers of writing at all grade levels, sponsored by the National Writing Project and WSU College of Education.

During the institute, teachers will learn and demonstrate new strategies to help their students become accomplished writers and learners. Participants will share what they've learned with other teachers when they return to the classroom in August. Those interested in participating in the summer writing institute may contact the director, Shirley Lefever-Davis, at 978-3301 or shirley.lefever-davis@wichita.edu.
