The KPTS TV production of "Black and Gold," a documentary about the WSU football team plane crash Oct. 2, 1970, has been nominated for a Regional Emmy Award. TV stations submit shows to be considered. A panel of judges then determines a handful of finalists that are "nominated" to be considered for a Regional Emmy Award. Being nominated means you are among the very best in your category, in this case documentary-historical. There are only four finalists in the category. The winner will be announced Saturday, July 17.
