Two projects completed by the Center for Urban Studies

According to the June 15 edition of Hugo's Highlights, the Center for Urban Studies recently completed two research projects, one for Sedgwick County and one for the Workforce Alliance of South Central Kansas.

Center staff provided Sedgwick County a review of their succession planning and leadership development programs. In addition, staff researched best practices and academic work to promote and support the county's continuing efforts in leadership development.

The center developed and provided a "hidden shopper" program for the Workforce Alliance that was completed between March and May 2010 by center staff. The program was designed to evaluate the customer service efforts at the workforce center. The final report will provide the Workforce Alliance staff recommendations to further enhance the job search process.
