* The Office of Research Administration announces an internal deadline for faculty members interested in applying for NSF Solicitation 10-568, Materials Research Centers and Teams. If you are interested, submit a one-page project summary to Sarah Haug at sarah.haug@wichita.edu, by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4. Only one submission is allowed per organization. If you have any questions, contact Haug at the above e-mail or 978-6806.

* Middle school students participating in TRIO Talent Search's summer enrichment program will perform at 10 a.m. today (Thursday, July 29) in the CAC Theater. The talent show concludes the eight-week summer program where students came to campus each day to enhance their academic skills.

* There will be a retirement reception for Ruth Bohlken, director of the Center for Physical Activity and Aging and instructor in the Department of Human Performance Studies, from 8-9 a.m. Friday, July 30, in the Heskett Center lobby. Please come by and wish her well.

* The University Bookstore will conduct summer textbook buyback from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. (today) Thursday, July 29, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, July 30.

* Student and graduate assistantship ePAF originator and approver training sessions are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, Aug. 3-5. To view session descriptions and register for training:
