Kick off the semester at Welcomefest with Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy, a country-blues Dixieland-bluegrass group, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, on the east patio of Rhatigan Student Center. Throughout the event, WSU's Formula and Baja racing team cars will be on display, and skateboarders from Endless Ride will demo their abilities on custom-built ramps and half-pipes. Admission is free.
