* Join in WSU's fall tradition, Convocation 2010, at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday, Aug. 31) in Koch Arena. Bring your Shocker spirit and enjoy an exciting program, a free Pizza Hut lunch and get a free T-shirt for attending. Be sure to pick up a program agenda with your tickets as you enter Koch Arena in order to receive your T-shirt and lunch.

* Employee meetings to discuss the new State of Kansas Group Long Term Care Insurance Program through Genworth Life Insurance Co. will be held at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, in 223 RSC. Enrollment in the program continues through Sept. 30.

* Legacy Services, an independent broker who specializes in long term care insurance, will discuss important issues consumers should consider before buying this product. * Effective Oct. 1, the state of Kansas will not issue paper checks for payroll or travel and expense reimbursements; absolutely no exceptions will be made. * Student Activities Council and WSU Greek Life are co-sponsoring "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" from 6-8 p.m. today (Tuesday, Aug. 31) in the RSC patio and courtyard. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about and to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence against women.
