Jennifer Kassebaum was named interim associate general counsel and begins effective today (Wednesday, Sept. 8), according to vice president and general counsel Ted Ayres. Kassebaum has had significant experience relating to higher education law/practice, having served as associate university counsel at Kansas State University from August 1992 to June 2001, and served on a special retainer basis to KSU from June 2005-June 2010. Most recently, she's served as hearing officer for the Kansas Department of Education relating to due process hearings arising from dismissals of tenured teachers in Kansas public schools.
