All instructors are invited to attend "Clickers in the Classroom," one of two interactive workshops on using classroom response systems (handheld radio devices that students can use to answer questions live during classes) from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 15-16, in the Wireless Learning Space in the Media Resources Center. Paul Rillema, professor in the Department of Chemistry, will explain how he uses clickers to take attendance, to do in-class testing and to promote student engagement. A representative from EInstruction will be present to explain the technology and discuss clicker pedagogy. Light refreshments will be provided. RSVP to ofdss@wichita.edu or 978-3209. This event is co-hosted by the Office for Faculty Development and the Media Resources Center.
