* The University Libraries and Department of English are hosting a reading and book signing by Scott Blackwood as part of the Seventh Annual Poetry and Fiction Reading Series from noon-1 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 28) in the lower level of Ablah Library. Blackwood is this fall's WSU Visiting Fiction Writer in Residence. Light refreshments will be served. You're also welcome to bring a box lunch.

* The Department of Chemistry announces a public lecture by Watkins Visiting Professor Michael Graetzel of Ecole Polytechnique in Lausanne, Switzerland, at 4 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 28) in the Kansas Grand Ballroom at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive. The title of his talk will be "Molecular Photovoltaics and Mesoscopic Solar Cells."

* Lambda Alpha, the National Anthropology Honor Society, is holding a winter clothing drive through October to benefit United Methodist Open Door's Klothes Kloset. Donation boxes are in Neff Hall and the RSC. All clean clothing in good condition will be accepted, especially coats, jeans, gloves, hats, sweaters, etc.
