* "WriteOn!" is an experimental mutual-support group for researchers that will meet between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in 115B Neff Hall today (Friday, Oct. 29) and Nov. 5, 12 and 19. This is a texting, e-mailing and talking-free zone. Coffee and water will be available. You can bring your own food, laptop or other reading/writing supplies. Come and leave when you want. The only requirement is to work while you are there.

* The flu shot clinic at WSU from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 29) in 223 RSC is available to covered employees and their covered dependents age 9 and older.

* The WSU volleyball team will host Missouri State at 7 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 29) in Charles Koch Arena. Call 978-3267 for tickets.

* The first contract year with Oce copier ends Sunday, Oct. 31. The following memo identifies the responsibility of departments to correctly report their copier meter readings, what to expect and how to process the forthcoming invoices from Oce for the second contract year, Nov. 1, 2010, through Oct. 31, 2011. * The Office of University Relations is offering a free "Writing for the Web" seminar for interested faculty and staff from 1:30-3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in 314 RSC. In this seminar, you'll learn how people read on the Web and use that to inform the way you should write. * Bonnie Bing of The Wichita Eagle presents "Holiday Highlights -- A Fashion Affair" to benefit the African American Faculty and Staff Association scholarship fund at 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, in the CAC Theater. WSU students, faculty and staff will be featured models in the show. VIP tickets are $50 and include a pre-show party at 5:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 and $25 at the door.
