CSD students awarded research grant

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders congratulates three students in its speech-language and audiology programs who were recently awarded a Delano Maggard, Jr. Graduate Research grant from the WSU Graduate School. Awards are up to $300 and winners are recognized at the GRASP symposium, scheduled for April 29.

The students and their projects are Masako Maeda, "Modifying Foreign Accent for Adult Japanese English-Language Learners: Association between Emphasis and Risk-Taking"; Huyen Luong, "Effects of Negative Middle Ear Pressure on Auditory Brain Responses in Human Ears: A Preliminary Study"; and Kayla Stone, "Effects of Negative Middle Ear Pressure on Multiple Frequency Tympanometry."
