Kansas Securities Commissioner to give funding, message to Wichita's young investors

Ask youths if they prefer to be rich or flat broke, and you'll get the same answer 99 times out of 100 -- rich. Ask them how to achieve this goal, and you'll get a 100 crazy ideas.

Kansas Securities Commissioner Marc Wilson is working with the Kansas Council on Economic Education (KCEE), hosted at Wichita State University, to promote financial literacy in Kansas schools through The Stock Market Game (SMG).

At 11:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, Wilson will be at Wichita Northwest High School to connect with students participating in SMG, an investing simulation designed to give youth hands-on experience making investment decisions. As part of the visit, Wilson will present a large donation to Jim Graham, president of the KCEE, in an effort to continue this education in Kansas schools.
