Communicating Science Workshop planned for scientists/researchers

The National Science Foundation has asked Kansas NSF EPSCoR to help host a Communicating Science Workshop, with space secured on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 27 and 28, at the Oread Hotel in Lawrence, Kan. The workshop is for scientists/researchers and also research communicators from the EPSCoR research institutions -- the University of Kansas, Kansas State University, Wichita State University and Haskell Indian Nations University.

The first day of the workshop will be open to about 120 people (80-90 scientists and 30-40 communicators), with a general session and breakouts covering specific topics. On the second day, for a half day, a select group of principal investigators will receive intensive training.

Online registration, including more detailed information on the session topics, is expected to be available later this month. The National Science Foundation will handle registration from its website. A link will be provided to that site when it is available.
