* The men's basketball team will host Alabama A&M at 7:05 p.m. today (Monday, Dec. 13) in Charles Koch Arena. Call 978-3267 for tickets.
* As part of the upgrade to Blackboard 9, the Digital Dropbox tool will no longer be available. Professors need to consider this when preparing courses for the spring semester. If a student has to finish work between semesters (after Dec. 28) and is using Digital Dropbox, adjustments will need to be made on how to complete the assignments. * Lake Afton Public Observatory will be open to visitors from 12:30-3 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, for the Geminid Meteor shower. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?789.
* WSU Fire/Safety will conduct its annual fire alarm testing through the end of December. The fire alarms will be sounded in the buildings. Those buildings being tested will have signs posted on the doors, and testing will occur throughout the day.
* The Accounts Payable Department requests that all ICDs (invoice control documents), IOTDs (inter-office transfer documents) and other requests for payment be received in Financial Operations by end of the day Friday, Dec. 17, to ensure processing can be completed in Topeka before the holiday closedown. Requests received after Dec. 17 will not be processed until Jan. 3, 2011.
