* Blackboard is being upgraded for the spring semester. The new version, Blackboard 9, has a new interface and features. Visit http://www.wichita.edu/my9 to learn more about these features and to stay up to date on trainings being offered and other important information concerning the upgrade.
* WSU Foundation payments made to foreign individuals or companies for services performed in the United States are subject to complex Internal Revenue Service regulations. The payments might be subject to income tax withholding. The Financial Operations office has special software to help in the correct administration of these transactions. For that reason, all such payments must initially be paid from an RU fund and then, if funding is to be provided by a WSU Foundation fund, the RU fund may be reimbursed from that foundation fund. * Plan Year 2011 benefit confirmation statements for state of Kansas active employees are available at http://www.da.ks.gov/ps/subject/ssc/. Log into employee self service to view your open enrollment elections for 2011. Changes made after open enrollment may not show up on the benefit confirmation statement. Contact Human Resources if you have questions.
* WSU Postal Services is providing letters from Santa now through Thursday, Dec. 16. There are eight different letters that can be purchased for $1 each. Letters will be sent to Santa Claus Indiana for a pictorial postmark, and then sent to the address you provide.
* The 2010-2011 Spirit Squad calendars, highlighting the Cheer Squad and Dance Team, are available for only $10.
