Reminders

* Nominations are sought for WSU's 2011 Senior Honor Men and Women awards, one of the highest honors a student can receive at WSU. Please help identify students for this award by clicking on the link and submitting your nominations by Friday, Jan. 21, at http://www.wichita.edu/seniorhonors. For more information, contact ginger.cox@wichita.edu or call 978-3021.

* The University Behavioral Intervention Team uses a multidisciplinary approach to prevent individuals from harming themselves or others, and help persons in need. All employees and students are encouraged to attend a workshop from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, in Wallace Auditorium, Marcus Welcome Center. To enroll or for more help, call LaMar at 978-3068. To learn more, go to http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=ubit.

* The Office of Human Resources' new online training opportunity, "Timekeeping; Policies and Procedures," can be found on myWSU under the Faculty/Staff Resources tab in the Human Resources links channel by clicking the HR Training Online link. Other modules will be brought online soon.

* There's a new channel in the Faculty and Staff Resources tab of myWSU called "Faculty Development Resources" with information about WSU's campus access licenses to The Teaching Professor newsletter, on-demand webinars on various topics related to improving classroom teaching and a white paper titled "What Faculty Members Need to Know about Retention." These resources are free to use. Send feedback and suggestions for additional items to include in the channel to ofdss@wichita.edu.

* Remember to submit your spring semester campus events to the online calendar for Wichita State at http://www.wichita.edu/calendarsubmit.

* WSU has used Electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAFs) for student and graduate assistants for more than a year. Locating the correct dates and other information can be challenging for any originator. Dust off the ePAF cobwebs and join us in the lab Thursday, Jan. 13 or 20, for a refresher session. http://www.wichita.edu/j/?805
