* The National Science Foundation will hold a workshop, "Science: Becoming the Messenger," on Thursday, Jan. 27, in Lawrence, Kan., for principal investigators, early career researchers and engineers from universities in Kansas who would like to learn to communicate effectively to a broad audience.
