For the 55th year, the Wichita State community will come together at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, for a gala banquet and ceremony at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive, to celebrate the emerald anniversary of the WSU Alumni Association awards program, and the newest class of honorees, featuring Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson, the 2010 recipient of the WSU Alumni Achievement Award. Please RSVP by Thursday, Jan. 27, by contacting Mandy Fleming at 978-3290 or mandy.fleming@wichita.edu.

Cost is $60 per person or $480 per table of eight. The evening will begin with a champagne reception at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:45 p.m. and awards program at 7:30 p.m. Wichita State's 2010 award recipients are Parkinson '80, Achievement Award; Barry and Cindy '77/ '85 Schwan, Alumni Recognition Award; Celia Goering '63, University Recognition Award; Collin Stieben '00, Young Alumna Award; Jesse Torres, Laura McMullen Cross Distinguished Service Award; WSU Women's Volleyball Coaching Staff, Award of Distinction.
