* Faculty, staff and students are invited to the grand opening of the Shocker Technical Assistance Center (STAC), the new unified technology help desk at WSU, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Friday, Jan. 28) on the first floor of Ablah Library. Learn more about the services STAC provides. Remarks will begin at 11:15 a.m., and refreshments will be served.

* The physics seminar on LEDs will be held at 1 p.m. today (Friday, Jan. 28) in 127 Jabara Hall.

* Eat at any Wichita or Derby Buffalo Wild Wings today (Friday, Jan. 28) and you can contribute to the Dr. Diane E. Huntley Memorial Scholarship in Dental Hygiene and the Kari Rinehart Memorial for the Wichita State University Department of Dental Hygiene. * Panopto will be unavailable because of an upgrade from 6:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31. Professors will not have the ability to upload recordings, and students will not be able to view recordings during this time.

* University Relations and Carmen Hytche, director of special events, will offer the "Mechanics of Event Planning: The Process" from 2-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, in 305 RSC. This free workshop for faculty and staff will break down an event and review organizational tools to help you plan and manage your event. Attendees are encouraged to bring projects to discuss.
