The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success is hosting two events next week. From 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, an open forum to discuss the new book "Academically Adrift" will be held in 314 RSC. This event, originally scheduled for Feb. 9, was postponed because of bad weather. The second event is a presentation by Darren DeFrain, associate professor of English and director of the writing program, who will discuss what he learned about best pedagogical practices as an OFDSS Student Success Faculty Fellow in fall 2010 in a session called "Five Ways to Promote Student Success in your Course Redesign," from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, in 115B Neff Hall.
