'Tony' to be shown, with discussion to follow

Student Activities Council, Center for Student Leadership, Office of Multicultural Affairs and WSU Dean Scholars are co-sponsoring a showing and discussion of the film "Tony" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in the CAC Theater. We would love to have you and your students join in on the discussion. We are expecting this event to be a huge success, and hope that you would consider sharing this event with your classes, either as an assignment, an extra credit opportunity or for other educational purposes.

The film Tony follows a young man who viewers met in the original film "Invisible Children." Both "Tony" and "Invisible Children" follow the stories of children who are forced into becoming soldiers for the Lord's Resistance Army in a civil war against the government of Uganda, and the fear that lingers within the children of Uganda. There will be continuous showings of the film "Invisible Children" from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, in the Rhatigan Student Center Fireplace Lounge.
