Encourage students to participate in Project Downtown Discussion

Encourage students to participate in a discussion about Project Downtown, and how the community must connect our centers of creativity, learning and uniqueness to make Wichita a next-generation city. This is their chance to voice what they want to see for the future of downtown and what kind of city attracts them. The Downtown Cafe will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in the Marcus Welcome Center. Food will be provided. The annual lecture begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. Transportation for students will be provided back to the university. Students must RSVP by Monday, March 7 at http://bit.ly/gl1Ifc.

Following this event, students can take the free shuttle to the Orpheum Theatre to hear Carol Coletta share how cities transform themselves into places that attract talent, create distinctiveness and spread innovation to benefit the entire region. Ms. Coletta is one of the world's top urban experts and works with cities in helping them attract and retain talent and creative individuals.
