Six Kansas high schools compete for a trip to National LifeSmarts

For five Kansas students and their coach, hard work and studying are finally going to pay off. At today's (Tuesday, March 8) state LifeSmarts finals from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the RSC ballroom, one high school team will be named Kansas LifeSmarts champions. The competition will relate to the five LifeSmarts topic areas -- personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities. The winning students will participate in the national competition in University City, Calif., in late April. The event is coordinated by Kansas Council on Economic Education at Wichita State.
